Send help! :-)
I've knit little things in the past, but I never got the hang of crochet. I found it difficult and very frustrating (turns out a circle is not a good place to start learning), and kept putting it down. Recently, I unearthed my old crochet hook and decided to climb back on that horse with the help of some YouTube tutorials. I spent a while hesitantly poking and pulling at what seemed to be a tangled mess of yarn, unraveling it, and starting over from Step 1 again and again.
I was getting frustrated again when... suddenly... it just clicked. I think I finally developed Crocheter Vision. I could look at a loopy mess of yarn and count the stitches, untwist chains, identify which strands to hook, and keep track of rows. I've heard people say it and clearly I was skeptical, but overnight I became a believer: it is so much faster and easier than knitting. I started stitching at a feverish pace and I don't think I've stopped since! When I'm not learning new stitches or working on more ambitious projects, I'm trawling the internet for more exciting ideas and patterns.
Here's a few of the things I've been working on lately! (Not pictured, but also fun: "plarn"! I'll have to post about that in the future.)
